Now this is gonna be a solid option if you find yourself going camping and maybe need a haul a small generator, or maybe a cooler that kind of fits in here very nicely. Or if you're maybe you're going to the hardware store and you're getting some mulch or concrete any bags that kind of seep outta the bag, anything that kind of seeps out of your bags you don't want getting in your vehicle, it's gonna be a solid choice to keep that stuff out. Hi everyone, it's Evangeline here at etrailer, and today, we'll be taking a look at how the Flint Hill Goods Steel Cargo Carrier fits on the 2017 Toyota RAV4. This is gonna be a compact steel cargo carrier, great if you have limited space inside of your shed or your garage, but you still need to add extra cargo space to your vehicle. So this will go right into the hitch of your RAV4, and it's gonna be helpful if you have larger or dirtier items that you don't want dirtying up the interior of your vehicle. So taking a look at how this fits on the RAV4, this is gonna be very compact. So for our measurement, it's gonna be about 53 1/4 by 19 3/4 inches, easy to store in your shed, but when you have it on your car, it will still take up a little bit of space. So I like to measure from the bumper going out, we have it at about 2 feet or 24 inches. more

Now a cargo carrier's really nice because if you don't have enough room in your vehicle for the stuff you're carrying, you can put it outside and get that extra room, or you can get some messy stuff from the inside and get it outside so you don't get that mess in your vehicle. For me, it's really nice for going to the hardware store picking up bags of concrete mulch, topsoil, anything that has a tendency to rip and just make a mess in the vehicle, out here, it's gonna be a lot easier to clean up because you can just hose it off. more

A hitch-mounted cargo carrier is a great way to either get extra stuff packed in your vehicle by packing it outside the vehicle or just getting some of that stuff from the inside that we maybe don't want in there, whether it be bags of concrete or soil, anything messy you might get at the hardware store, messy sports equipment that you wanna keep outside, so it doesn't stink up or mess up the inside of your vehicle, you can keep it out here, because let's face it, it's a lot easier to just hose this down with some water and get it cleaned up than it is to clean up the interior of your vehicle. Right now we have the etrailer aluminum cargo carrier loaded up. Now let's just go over some features of it for you guys, see how it's going to interact with your RAV4.To start, I want to point out having an aluminum cargo carrier is a great advantage. You're taking the amount of ton weight added to your vehicle and you're cutting it out by a lot, and when you compare it to a steel folding cargo carrier, so you're not going to have as much weight back there when it's empty and not as much weight even when it's filled up. You're still going to have a 500 pound weight capacity, which is right in line with a lot of other cargo carriers we carry, so you're not really sacrificing too much there.As far as storage space for it, we'll measure inside rail to inside rail. more

So let's get started.So initially, it is going to be a true 24 by 60, and these rails here are going to stick up about five and a half inches. It is all going to be made of steel, and we're going to get about 500 pounds of carrying capacity with this carrier. You will need to have a two inch hitch receiver to be able to use this product.So let's go over just some of the things I kind of like, one is just the mesh bottom, just because if you have wet gear or even if you're driving in the rain, it's not going to just sit in there and just kind of puddle up, and maybe rust stuff away. We have a nice powder coated finish that'll help prevent that, but this floor is going to do most of it. more

Hollywood Racks Hitch Cargo Carrier Review - 2012 Toyota 4Runner- Video
Speaker 1: Today on our 2012 Toyota Four Runner, we're going to be doing a test fit on the Hollywood Racks' Hitch-Mounted Cargo Carrier, that's part number: HR1485.I've already got it loaded up, just to give you a good idea of what it looks like attached to our Four Runner. Now right away I'd like to point out that this can also be in addition to the Hollywood Racks' Sport Rider SE2. This actually plugs into the back of that 2-bike rack, allowing you to carry two bikes and cargo. That part number of that bike rack is: HR1450Z.Let's go ahead and give you some dimensions. The inside dimensions are: 52 and a 1/2 inches long by 15 and 9/16ths of an inch wide, and it's 5 inches deep.As you can see, it's a basket-style design. The tubular side rails and floor are going to be easy to clean. more

Malone Hitch Cargo Carrier Review - 2015 Toyota Sienna- Video
Speaker 1: Today on our 2015 Toyota Sienna we're going to be test fitting the Malone Hitch King cargo carrier for 2" hitches, part number MPG906. This does have a carrying capacity of 500 pounds and it measures 60" long by 19" wide by 2" tall. It has this nice mesh floor at the base here so it's not going to hold water and it's going to be easy to clean as well. Around the edge here you can see these points. That's going to be your tie down points for either your bungee cords or your ratchet straps.With it in this position I'd like to give you a couple quick measurements. Measuring from the edge of the bumper to our outermost edge we've added about 26" to the rear of the vehicle. more
